Tepolume: analyse drone imagery without handing it over
A single flight over a solar plant produces thousands of frames, thermal and colour side by side. Going through them by hand takes days, and what comes out is a list nobody can find again in the field.
Tepolume analyses the imagery where it is captured — on the field device on site, or on a server inside your own network.
The problem
Two images, one finding
A warm spot in a thermal frame can be a defect or a reflection. Only together with the colour frame of the same spot can the two be told apart. Tools that read one source produce false alarms.
A finding without a location cannot be worked on
Someone standing at the plant needs the module number, not the image number. Without that mapping the report stays a photo gallery.
The data belongs to the operator
Imagery of a plant is operational data, sometimes from critical infrastructure. An analysis that requires a cloud often fails the vendor review before it is ever tried.
Hardware should not be dictated
Anyone already flying a fleet wants to keep it. Standard R-JPEG and RGB frames are processed, not a proprietary format.
How Tepolume works
On site or in your own house
On an NVIDIA Jetson right at the site, with no network needed. Or centrally on your own hardware when several flights come together.
Thermal and colour together
Both frames of the same spot are assessed jointly rather than separately.
What is detected
Hotspots, bypass diodes, string failures and the individual panels.
Every finding gets a location
Every finding gets the number of the individual module so that it can be found in the field.
Tested with DJI Matrice 4T and DJI Mavic 3T. Further platforms are planned.
Two limits belong with that. An automated analysis does not find every defect; it sorts the volume so that a person finishes the review in hours rather than days. And the report is a working basis, not a certificate and not formal proof of inspection.
